A 3 to 5 storey Residential Care Village built for Extra Care Housing on behalf of Willmott Dixon Housing. Built over two phases the scheme comprised four blocks in total. Three blocks were built in the KBS Load Bearing product and one in KBS non load bearing façade system formally known as AFS. The scheme included large internal open spaces creating a ‘winter garden’ the garden area was central within the perimeter walkways formed using hot rolled steel and KBS Floors.
Project Value: Kingspan Steel Building Solutions contract value - £3.4m
Project Size: 300no. one and two bedroom apartment units positioned around a central community hub area.
Construction: Load Bearing structure with joisted cassette floors and non-load bearing façade panels erected in 36 weeks and completed in 2011
Finishes: Variety of façade treatments including brick, render and timber
