This tall slender building provided a number of design and engineering challenges which were overcome during the detailed design stage. David Smart (Construction Manager for Marcus Worthington) says “The main advantage for the KingBuild System for this tight Liverpool City Centre site were, speed of erection, efficient working, minimal waste with good back up service from Kingspan’s design and onsite team."

Project Size: 141 no. bedroom hotel built over a two storey podium creating a retail unit and cafe/bar on the ground and first floor respectively.
Construction: Load Bearing structure with composite concrete floors erected in 15 weeks, opened in Spring 2012
Finishes: Lightweight cladding façade treatments in contrasting colours were used to create a stylish and contemporary exterior finish.
